PayNet (Schweiz) AG and PostFinance cooperate for the promotion of the electronic bill

PayNet (Schweiz) AG and PostFinance cooperate for the promotion of the electronic bill for private customers. From now on, the services PayNet and yellowbill will be communicated uniformly under the terms «E-Rechnung», «e-facture» and «e-fattura». Thus the name recognition of the electronic bill with private customers in Switzerland ought to be increased and the marketing for billers and the financial establishments ought to be simplified. Further measures include a common website as well as the execution of common advertising activities for the e-bill. The two systems PayNet and yellowbill remain independent from one another.

So far, PayNet (Schweiz) AG and PostFinance marketed the electronic bill for private customers under the system names PayNet and yellowbill. PayNet, the Swiss banks connected to PayNet and PostFinance have decided to use from now on uniformly the generic term «e-bill». The new designation makes the marketing of the service for the billers simpler and the service for the private customers more transparent. The term «e-bill» will be implemented or respectively supplemented in the function menus of the different e-banking applications.

PayNet and PostFinance developed the website www.e-rechnung.ch as information platform for the e-bill for private customers. The new website is available in the languages German, French, Italian and English. The billers can inform their customers about the advantages of the e-bill with marketing aids provided by PayNet and PostFinance and link their customers for more details directly to the new website. On the website, private customers receive comprehensive information about the e-bill and the participating billers and financial institutions as well as special biller promotions. As incentive for becoming acquainted with the new website and the e-bill, PayNet and PostFinance organize a common online competition.
